Founded in 2008, the SEAL Family Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that raises funds and awareness for special programs in direct support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) families on a local, national and global scale. In 2012, the Foundation raised $2.2 million in funds, including more than $500,000 for the Ty Woods and Glen Dougherty Memorial Funds. More than 90 percent of all funding supports direct services, and remaining funds directly support program administration and Foundation operations.
Additionally, the Foundation actively supports a number of programs including NSW Kids, Gold Star Families, The Global Spouse Sisterhood, Family Readiness Groups, Graduation Ceremonies, and a host of other programs designed to ensure the warriors and families of Naval Special Warfare stay healthy and resilient in this era of persistent deployments.
San Diego Funding specializes in VA Home Loans and has been helping military families achieve the American Dream of homeownership for over 30 years. VA Home Loans are mortgages guaranteed by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs that are designed to offer long-term financing to eligible American Veterans to purchase homes. VA home loans are provided by approved lenders such as San Diego Funding. To be eligible for a VA loan, you must have served in the military in the past, for at least 90 days during wartime or 181 days during peacetime, or currently be on active duty. If you are currently active duty, you qualify after 90 continuous days of service. Full eligibility in San Diego allows for a 100% loan up to $649,750. Any amount over $649,750 requires 25% of the additional amount as a down payment. If your VA eligibility was used to purchase a home in the past, the home has been sold and the loan paid off, you should be able to use your VA to purchase a home again. If you purchased a home using your VA eligibility in the past and it is now rented with your VA loan still on the home, you may have unused eligibility that can be used to purchase another home with your VA.
